OPCAAW Summer Picnic
August 11, 2018 –
Save the date for the annual Olympic Peninsula Woodturners picnic.
This year, we will celebrate at Island Lake County Park in Central Kitsap, between Silverdale and Poulsbo.
The club provides burgers, hot dogs and buns. Members bring pot-luck salads, sides and deserts. If your last name is A-I, bring a desert; J-Q, bring a salad; R-Z bring side dishes.
Bring lounge chairs for your comfort.
The summer picnic is a member's only function. Members are welcome to bring a guest. This is a joint event with the Strait Turners, so members of the Strait Turners are also welcome.
Directions to the picnic are as follows.
From the south: Take Silverdale Way north from the Hwy 3/303 interchange at the north edge of Silverdale. At the stop light at Bennington Drive NW, turn right. Go straight at Bennington becomes NW Island Lake Road. Turn into Island Lake Park at the parking lot entrance with the large wooden sign saying Island Lake 507. We'll have balloons at the sign if they don't blow away. Proceed to the left through the long parking lot toward the other end. The Picnic Shelter is about 20 yards in front of you in a grassy area.
