March 12, 2017 –
OPCAAW will host a Sawdust Session with instructors demonstrating techniques for basic turning, sharpening, using different chucks and glue blocks.
This is not a project-specific session. There will be 3 or 4 lathes (at least) in the room. Attendees are encouraged to take turns when they want to try something new or improve their technique.
Sawdust sessions are designed to allow club members and guests to observe how experienced turners approach a project and to give opportunity for hands-on mentoring. Come with tools and be ready to do some turning.
