October 17, 2020Jim Leary, one of OPCAAW's accomplished members and a long time mentor for the club, will host a virtual sawdust session from his shop demonstrating the creation of hollow form Christmas ornaments with finials.
All members and guests are welcome to view the demo using the Zoom link that has been distributed via email. If you have not received the email or if you have lost the link to the sawdust session, email our Vice President for Public Relations.

October 28, 2020The October regular monthly meeting of OPCAAW features a demonstration by Washington woodturner Carl Jacobson. He will demonstrate making a Christmas ornament using the inside-out method of turning.
Jacobson's YouTube channel has more than 256,000 followers and his videos have been viewed almost 33 million times. He is a long time turner and woodworker and teaches and demonstrates using a mobile shop.
In addition, the meeting will feature announcements and a virtual Show & Tell (submit up to four images of recent work, up to two of each piece, to our VP for Training; images should be at least 1 megabyte in size, with the subject in focus and on a plain background).
OPCAAW members can start signing on for our Zoom meeting as early as 5:30 to socialize. President Brad Stave will make club announcements starting at 6:15.
All members in good standing will receive an email announcement with the link to enter the Zoom meeting prior to Oct. 28.
