    November 7, 2020

    Join us for a special sale of various woods for turning, in addition to sandpaper and CA glue.

    Available will be a full trailer full of split maple and a half trailer of bay laurel gathered by the club's Wood Wranglers, a variety of turning woods, rough and in bowl blanks and turning squares, donated by Jeff Brody. Selection starts at 10 a.m. All wood is prepared. No cutting at the church. Wood sale is by donation.

    Sandpaper disk and sheets will be for sale, with sheets discounted 50 percent.

    The club's remaining stock of CA will also be on sale, at a 50 percent discount from our normal prices.

    Feel free to bring wood or other items to donate to the club.

    Club members who had ordered and paid for shirts can pick up their shirts during this event. There will also be some shirts for sale.

    If you have bowls you would like to contribute to the North Kitsap food bank's Empty Bowl luncheon, bring them with you.

    Regular Meeting - Scott Overby: Pepper Mills and Spice Mills

    The regular monthly meeting of OPCAAW features a virtual demonstration by club member Scott Overby, who is well known among club members for his expertise in turning pepper mills and spice mills.

    In addition, the meeting will feature announcements and a virtual Show & Tell (submit up to four images of recent work, up to two of each piece, to Larry Lemon; images should be at least 1 megabyte in size, with the subject in focus and on a plain background).

    OPCAAW members can start signing on for our Zoom meeting as early as 5:30 to socialize. President Brad Stave will make club announcements starting at 6:15.

    All members in good standing will receive an email announcement with the link to enter the Zoom meeting prior to Nov. 18.
