CANCELED: Regular Meeting - Ed Pretty: ABCs of Turning and Using the Push Cut

    March 25, 2020

British Columbia turner Ed Pretty will demonstrate "Anchor, Bevel, Cut" and his approach to using the push cut to turn bowls. Pretty, whose work is displayed in two galleries in the Vancouver metro area, was a firefighter trainer before his retirement, and thus is well attuned to effective ways to share information. He likes to say that his lessons can make an advanced turner better and a beginning turner much better.

In addition, the meeting will feature announcements, Show and Tell and the wood auction. Members will also have access to our library and to sandpaper and CA glue sales.

Gathering starts at 6 p.m. Announcements begin at 6:30.
