    Class -- Making a Long-Stemmed Goblet

    June 26, 2022

OPCAAW is tentatively offering a class on how to make a long-stemmed goblet. Capacity is six students.

The class will be taught by Jim Leary, one of OPCAAW's longtime mentors. Jim will take students through the process of creating a a long-stemmed goblet on the lathe. All the tools  you need will be provided and the materials fee will cover the cost of the goblet blank.

    Some turning experience  is suggested.

The class fee is $30 for OPCAAW members and $60 for non-members, which includes a one-year membership in OPCAAW.

The class will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  with a break for lunch from noon to 1.

As with all our classes, this should be considered a tentative class listing. Final determination that this class will be offered will be made before the regular membership meeting in April and announced at that meeting. An email opening registration will be sent out to everyone on our email list, members and non-members, a couple of days later. Spots are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis as registrants respond to that email announcement. Registration will be considered complete only once payment is received.
